Police in Nova Scotia are clarifying the current location of a high-risk sex offender. On Wednesday, police said Matthew William Rozins, 43, was living in Truro, N.S. He’s been convicted of offences including sexual assault, trespassing at night, indecent acts, assault and criminal harassment. Police say he has committed offences in several provinces. In an update posted to social media Thursday, Truro Police Service said Rozins was no longer believed to be in the area. Police now say Rozins is in the Kentville area. Kentville Police Service says it will continue to monitor his release and compliance with all court-ordered conditions. Rozins is subject to a number of restrictions, including: “This information is being provided to alert members of the public to Rozins’ presence in the community and to support public safety,” police said in a statement. “The Kentville Police Service reminds the public that this information is released in the interest of community safety. Any form of vigilante action, intimidation, or harassment directed toward Mr. Rozins will not be tolerated and may result in criminal charges.” Police are asking anyone with information about a breach of Rozins’ release conditions to call them at 902-678-3378.
