A million-dollar seizure at a medium-security federal institution in Nova Scotia is under investigation. Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) says packages containing contraband and unauthorized items were seized at the Springhill Institution on Monday. The seized items reportedly included methamphetamine, shatter, cannabis, hashish, tobacco and cellphones. CSC estimates the total institutional value of the seizure is $1,161,500. The Springhill Institution is investigating and police have also been notified. CSC says it uses a number of tools to prevent drugs from entering its institutions.
