Teen dies after motorcycle and truck collide in Welton Landing, N.S.

A 19-year-old man has died after a motorcycle and truck collided in Welton Landing, N.S.

Kings District RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 12 around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police learned a northbound Chevrolet Silverado and a southbound motorcycle had collided.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. The 19-year-old was from Forest Home, N.S.

The truck driver, a 47-year-old man from Bolton, Ont., was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 12 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555.
