The RCMP says it is aware of an online video that appears to show a driver going more than 300 km/h on a Nova Scotia highway. Police say the video and comments indicate the vehicle is a Chevrolet Corvette C8 and it was being driven in the Antigonish area. Investigators add the vehicle may be connected to other driving complaints in the area. The RCMP says, at 300 km/h, it can take hundreds of metres to come to a complete stop. “Driving at these speeds is not a thrill, it’s a serious danger,” said Sgt. James Jessome in a social media post. “One mistake can have devastating consequences for the driver, passengers and other road users. Choosing to slow down and drive responsibly helps keep everyone safe.” The force is asking anyone who recognizes the driver or vehicle to call the Antigonish County District RCMP at 902-863-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
