OPP: collision in Midland leads to possession charges for driver

A man is facing possession charges after a single vehicle collision on Midland.

Provincial police say they responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Yonge Street and Eighth Street in Midland, around 10 a.m. on Monday.

The vehicle, police say, left the roadway and struck a pole in the Yonge and Eighth area.

Police arrested the driver for impaired operation and during a subsequent search, OPP say they located a quantity of suspected illegal drugs in his vehicle.

The 36-year-old Midland man now faces charges of impaired operation and possession of a schedule 1 substance.
