Police presence cleared, two arrested in Shelburne investigation

Provincial police advised Dufferin County residents early Saturday evening that they are actively investigating an incident in Shelburne.

In a 5:48 p.m. social media post, the OPP stated that there was an increased police presence in the Morden Drive area due to an active investigation.

Locals were urged to avoid the area, but an OPP public information advisor (PIA) confirmed that there is no threat to public safety.

In a 10:12 p.m. update, the OPP confirmed that officers were resuming their regular patrols and that two people were arrested without incident.

An OPP public information advisor told CTV News that more information would be released once the Dufferin detachment gets approval to share it.
