Retail thefts across region may be linked, police say

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a series of retail thefts believed to be connected across Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.

Police said between May 23 and May 27, a male and female suspect went to multiple retail locations and stole vitamins.

“Investigators believe the incidents may be connected and could be part of organized retail crime,” police said in a media release. “The total value of the stolen merchandise is estimated to be over $1,300.”

Police are now working to identify and speak with the two individuals believed to be involved. Images of the suspects have been released.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information related to these incidents is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.

The investigation remains ongoing.
