There should be a break in the heat coming on Thursday in Calgary, but the day will still be warm with a chance of thunderstorms. There were some brief showers and a weak thunderstorm in Calgary on Wednesday afternoon. There is a 30 per cent chance of seeing that again on Thursday afternoon. Most of the day will just be a mix of sun and cloud, with a more reasonable daytime high of 24 C. The heat will start to build back in on Friday, and it will even get close to a hot 30 C by the weekend with lots of sunshine. We are at the height of storm season.
