There’s been another adjournment in the court case of Nathan Chasing Horse, the Dances With Wolves actor who was found guilty of sex charges in Nevada. Chasing Horse was supposed to be sentenced on Wednesday, but his lawyers filed a motion to have the guilty verdicts thrown out. In January, a jury found Chasing Horse guilty of 13 child sexual abuse charges. He was acquitted of eight other charges. The defence alleged witnesses received compensation for their testimonies. The judge, however, called the argument “offensive” and noted victims are entitled to payments under a victims-of-crime program. Chasing Horse’s sentencing is now set for April 1. He also faces charges in British Columbia and from the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service.
