Following an investigation, Mounties have found that an attempted child luring of a six-year-old girl in Fort Saskatchewan did not occur. It was reported to police that a six-year-old girl was playing at a park on Southpoint Boulevard on Aug. 5 around 1:30 p.m. when she was approached by a man driving a red truck who reportedly attempted to lure her into his vehicle. Police identified an individual who was cooperative in the investigation and has since been cleared. Video footage sent in by citizens played a vital role in the investigation, said police. Another child luring incident that occurred on July 30 near Davis Street is still being investigated.
