Two pit bulls attacked two people in a home east of Edmonton Wednesday night, RCMP said. Vermilion RCMP responded to the dog attack in a home near the airport at around 8:21 p.m. The dogs attacked their caretakers and then escaped the house. At the time of the attack, police warned the public just before 9:30 p.m. On Thursday morning, RCMP said the dogs were “no longer a threat to the community” and had returned home with the help of the homeowners. The two people sustained “serious but nonlife threatening” injuries and were treated in hospital, according to police. No further incidents were reported.
