We still haven’t had a warmer-than-average daytime high in June in Edmonton. And... we probably won’t get one this week. The first week of June this year had an average high of just 16 C. That’s well below the long-term average of 21 C for June 1-7. The last time the city started June with an avg high of 16 C was back in 2009. And...actually,if you REALLY want to get technical and deal in tenths of a degree, we have to go back to the late 1990s for the last time we were below 16.0 C for the average high. Average highs June 1-7: Looking ahead, we’ll be in the 17 to 22 C range for highs through Saturday. There’s a chance we get to the 23 to 26 C range Sunday-Tuesday. Soak up some sun this morning. Clouds will increase from the south throughout the day and there’s a slight chance of some scattered showers in the Edmonton region late this afternoon and/or tonight. Wednesday doesn’t look like a full day of solid, steady rain. But... we’ll be mostly cloudy throughout the day with occasional scattered showers in the area. Thursday’s dry for most of the day, until a slight risk of a shower or thunderstorm in the evening. Friday’s still uncertain as the modelling has been very inconsistent.
