A teen boy is accused of stabbing a taxi driver in Grande Prairie in late June. According to RCMP, the driver was stabbed in the stomach at around 2 a.m. on June 28. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been released. The 17-year-old Grande Prairie resident was arrested on Saturday after a series of search warrants, RCMP said. He has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was released on conditions and is expected to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on July 21.
