Alberta Health Services has lifted the water advisory it placed on a Wizard Lake beach last week. Jubilee Park Beach now has an acceptable water quality level, the organization says, and health risks associated with recreational use are low. The beach was previously flagged for elevated levels of bacteria that could have caused skin, ear and eye infections. The provincial health agency reminded visitors they should still not consume any untreated water from any body of water, including Wizard Lake, at any time. Wizard Lake is about 50 kilometres southwest of Edmonton.
