A local shot at holding the world’s longest soccer game wrapped up at the Edmonton Expo Centre on Thursday. Organizers say the record to beat was 60 hours. This week’s game lasted 72. The game, organized by longest ferris ride record-holder Chris Scheetz, was also a fundraiser for Alberta Dreams, a non-profit that helps fulfill the wishes of kids with severe illnesses. The final amount of money raised for Alberta Dreams is still being counted.
