The Canadian National Exhibition has announced its final list of artists set to perform this year in Toronto. The concert dates will run from Aug. 21 to Sept. 6 on the Bell Sound Stage at the Bandshell, with all performances included with the price of CNE admission. Organizers say one international headliner and an additional co-headliner are still being kept secret and will be announced at a later date. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know. Previously announced The first wave of performers was announced back in April and included Grammy-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco (Aug. 21), reggae star Shaggy (Aug. 23), Canadian rock icon Tom Cochrane (Sept. 5), The Trews (Aug. 27), Lights (Aug. 22) and Silverstein (Sept. 3). Newly announced Joining the lineup and newly announced this week, include Canadian acts such as Virginia to Vegas (Aug. 24), Glass Tiger (Aug. 25), Bif Naked and Bran Van 3000 (Aug. 26), Matthew Good and His Band (Aug. 30), Dallas Smith (Aug. 31), Charlotte Day Wilson (Sept. 1), Finger Eleven (Sept. 2) and Raf-Saperra (Sept. 4). Meanwhile, officials also booked American singer-songwriter JoJo who will perform on Aug. 29. In addition, officials say the annual Dr. Jay’s Soca Night will return on Sept. 6 with performances by Alison Hinds, Edwin Yearwood, Rupee and DJ Puffy. Organizers say Aug. 28 will feature a surprise international headliner presented by Billboard Canada, while Dallas Smith’s Aug. 31 show will include a surprise co-headliner presented by Rolling Stone Canada. Advance tickets will remain on sale until Aug. 20, with savings of up to 35 per cent. Organizers are also offering a Front Row VIP add-on that includes reserved front-of-stage seating, access to a VIP lounge, a dedicated bar and one complimentary drink ticket.
