A 35-year-old Guelph man is facing multiple charged after a series of property damage incidents in the city’s west end Tuesday afternoon. Officers were called at about 5:50 p.m. to a home near Elmira Road North and Flaherty Drive. Police said a man repeatedly threw a crate at a front door, damaging the frame, and then destroyed a mailbox. “The suspect then walked next door and threw a watering can, smashing the glass front door,” police said in a media release. “He then attended another nearby house where he entered the open garage and knocked over an e-bike before repeatedly kicking the home’s front door, causing minor damage.” A 35-year-old Guelph man was located nearby and arrested. He has been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000 and one count of being unlawfully in a dwelling.
