Cold front moves in, dropping temperatures by Mother’s Day

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has your full weekend weather forecast.

A mix of sun and cloud makes up most of the weekend forecast.

“A cold front coming in from the northwest could spark some showers and some thunderstorms as we head into the afternoon, early evening [on Saturday],” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “Although the scattered showers are not going to hit everyone across the area.”

Atchison says some cooler temperatures will be here Sunday for Mother’s Day, but we will have some peaks of sunshine.

“Saturday into Sunday will go from a high of 18 degrees today to a high of just 13 on Sunday,” said Atchison. “A mix of sun and cloud Sunday morning could see increasing cloud cover Sunday afternoon as that cool air filters in.”

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud. 60 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon with risk of a thunderstorm. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. Wind becoming southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 late in the morning. High 18. UV index 6 or high.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Clearing near midnight. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light near midnight. Low plus 2 with risk of frost.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 13.

Monday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 11.

Tuesday: Sunny. High 13.

Wednesday: Cloudy. High 14.
