Labatt Breweries has announced a $10,000 donation to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority, marking World Water Day. “This new partnership will focus on advancing water quality, data collection, programing, bringing together research, funding and employee volunteering to support both a better understanding of and stewardship of our shared water resources,” said Alex Martel, a manager with Labatt Breweries. “Right here in London, Ontario. Together, we can continue to protect and preserve the water that sustains our communities and our business for generations to come.” Martel says this announcement symbolizes the company’s commitment to supporting community conservation efforts in the region. Also in attendance was Ingersoll Mayor Brian Petrie. “Certainly, you can’t have great beer without great water. And you can’t have a great watershed, healthy watershed, without water as well,” said Petrie. “There are those shared, those shared principles there, that make it so important.”
