CTV News meteorologist Julie Atchison says sunny skies and dry conditions are expected to continue across southern Ontario over the next seven days. The region will see plenty of sunshine Wednesday, with temperatures reaching a high of 17 C and light winds. “It’s cool out there this morning, but by the afternoon we’ll warm up to 17 degrees,” Atchison said. The sunny weather is expected to continue Thursday through Sunday, with daytime highs ranging between 16 C and 18 C. Atchison said an upper ridge and surface high pressure are contributing to the stable conditions, with little change expected in the forecast over the coming week. Despite the sunshine during the day, overnight temperatures will remain cool, with the possibility of frost. The extended stretch of dry weather is expected to continue, with sunshine forecast throughout the next week.
