‘Weapons investigation’ closes Hyde Park Road

Hyde Park Road is closed between Oxford Street West and Valetta Street as London police continue what’s being described as an ongoing weapons investigation in the area.

Police said there have been no reported injuries associated with the incident. Details about the nature of the investigation have not been released.

Motorists and transit users are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the investigation remains active.

Police have not provided a timeline for when the road will reopen. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
