A teenager was arrested in LaSalle on Wednesday after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed earlier this week. Montreal police said the 17-year-old appeared in youth court and is facing attempted murder and other charges. The charges stem from a stabbing shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday at Dorchester Square near Peel Street downtown Montreal. “On arrival, a 16-year-old boy was found,” the SPVM said in a news release. “He had suffered a serious upper-body injury caused by a sharp object. He was rushed to hospital and, fortunately, his life is no longer in danger.” The suspect and victim knew each other, police said.
