A man injured by a sharp object is in critical condition after being found by police Saturday afternoon in an apartment in the Montreal borough of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) reports that it was called to the scene around 3 p.m. at a residence on Dupuis Avenue, near Victoria Avenue. The man was found by emergency responders with serious injuries to his upper body and was subsequently transported in critical condition to a hospital, explains SPVM spokesperson Manuel Couture. A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody. Couture said that investigators will interview him shortly to determine the extent of his involvement in the incident. “The circumstances surrounding this incident and the cause of the injury remain unknown,” Couture explained.
