A pilot died Monday evening following an aircraft crash in Victoriaville, in the Centre-du-Québec region. Emergency services were called to Route de l’Aéroport around 6:30 p.m. regarding a plane crash. The aircraft reportedly caught fire after crashing, according to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Louis-Philippe Ruel. Emergency responders found the pilot still inside the aircraft upon their arrival. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The SQ has not released any details about the person piloting the aircraft or its flight plan. SQ officers will conduct an investigation to determine the circumstances of this incident, in collaboration with the Transportation Safety Board.
