Service was disrupted on part of the Réseau express métropolitain on Sunday afternoon due to a power outage. The outage, which began at 12:21 p.m., affected service between Bois-Franc and Deux-Montagnes. A power supply fault linked to Hydro-Québec, located north of the Island of Montreal, caused a service disruption, a media spokesperson for the REM told CTV News. “Our emergency systems functioned effectively, enabling us to evacuate all trains and lifts,” they said. “As a result of this exceptional situation, staff were deployed to all stations to assist passengers.” Service was expected to resume at 3:30 p.m but gradually began at 3:44 p.m.
