A teenager is recovering in the hospital after being assaulted with a sharp object downtown Montreal early Sunday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) say that 911 calls at around 3:50 a.m. reported an 18-year-old man with injuries on the corner of St. Lauren Boulevard and Ontario Street, near the St. Laurent Montreal metro. He was conscious when transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. “Currently, the circumstances of this armed assault are unknown,” said SPVM spokesperson Caroline Chevrefils. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in the area. There have been no arrests, and no one else was injured.
