Thunder Bay Police say a 35-year-old Kenora women faces impaired and dangerous driving charges after driving erratically Monday. An officer patrolling Golf Links Road noticed a vehicle travelling significantly faster than the posted speed limit while weaving through traffic, police said in a news release Nov. 3. “Following a traffic stop, the officer observed signs of impairment and conducted a sobriety test where the female driver was arrested and taken into custody,” police said. “A drug recognition expert officer conducted further tests and determined the suspect was impaired.” The woman is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The Thunder Bay Police Service urges the public to call 911 if they suspect an individual driving a vehicle may be impaired by alcohol or drugs.
