Police in Greater Sudbury are seeking the public’s help to locate a 31-year-old man wanted on multiple charges after an assault early this week left a 44-year-old man in critical condition. According to the Greater Sudbury Police Service, Deondrae Edie is now the subject of an arrest warrant for aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, obstructing a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. Altercation on Maurice Street Police said that on July 7, officers responded to a report of “unknown trouble” at a residence on Maurice Street in the community of Hanmer following an altercation that left the 44-year-old man with serious injuries. Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services transported the victim to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. “The individual believed to be responsible for the assault fled the area prior to police arrival,” police said in a news release Wednesday.
