16-year-old driver from Cornwall, Ont. charged with stunt driving

Cornwall police say a 16-year-old is facing a stunt driving charge after being pulled over on Saturday.

Police allege the teenager was caught going 119 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on McConnell Avenue at around 10:30 p.m.

The teen’s driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, the vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and the young driver now has a court appearance.

A conviction could lead to a minimum $2,000 fine, six demerit points, and a one-year driving ban.
