Ottawa paramedics say two people were injured Wednesday morning when a garbage bin fell on them at a construction site. The incident happened at around 8:20 a.m. in the area of Argyle Avenue and Metcalfe Street, when the garbage bin fell from a forklift, according to Ottawa Paramedic Service Supt. Nicolas Guertin. Guertin told CTV News Ottawa the two people were in their 30s and 50s. Both were treated and taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating.
