1 dead, 3 injured in two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s south end

A woman in her 50s died and three others were injured after a serious two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s south end Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road south of Hunt Club Road at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Ottawa police said one person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. In an update, a paramedics spokesperson told CTV News a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in the same car suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

A man and a woman in the other car sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance in stable condition.

Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road were closed for several hours while police investigated.
