Perth man arrested in connection to Last Duel Park homicide

Ontario Provincial Police say an arrest has been made in connection with a homicide in a Perth, Ont. park one month ago.

On April 12, police responded to Last Duel Park where 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards of Ottawa was found with life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital.

OPP announced Tuesday that Michael Lewis, 46, of Perth was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection to Richards’ death.

Arrest warrants remain outstanding for two suspects from Ottawa charged with second-degree murder in the case.

Last week, police issued a call for public assistance in locating Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28. Police believe Madore is currently in British Columbia, with associations to the Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Terrace areas.

Kennedy may be travelling with him or may still be in the Ottawa area. OPP are asking the public not to approach the suspects and contact police if they are seen.

Lewis remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Tuesday.

An investigation into the homicide continues.

OPP say anyone with any information is asked to contact the Lanark County OPP.
