A teenager was seriously injured after being stabbed in the city’s east end on Saturday evening, according to Ottawa paramedics. Ottawa police say officers responded to an assault with an “edged weapon” in the 1200 block of Donald Street near St. Laurent Boulevard at 7:55 p.m. A paramedics spokesperson tells CTV News Ottawa that crews treated the victim for “penetrative trauma” and was transported to the Ottawa Hospital’s trauma centre in serious but stable condition. The victim was between 15 and 16 years old, paramedics say. Their gender was not provided. No arrests have been made, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
