Calgary police are investigating after a woman in her 80s was struck by a vehicle in a southwest parking lot. Officers were called to a business at 251 Stewart Green S.W. at about 11:10 a.m. Saturday, where a pedestrian had been hit. Police say the woman was walking with the assistance of a mobility walker when she was struck by a vehicle reversing from a parking stall. The driver, a woman in her 70s, was not injured. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police say it is too early to determine the cause of the collision, and all possible factors are under investigation.
