The Regina Pats have acquired forward Dayce Derkatch from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the 2026 WHL draft. Derkatch, 18, is the son of general manager and Pats great Dale Derkatch. In 55 games for the Raiders last season, he recorded three goals and five assists after starting the season in U18 AAA with the Regina Pat Canadians. “We look forward to him complimenting our forward group as we prepare for the upcoming season,” said GM Derkatch in a release. The Pats now feature six local players on their roster for the upcoming season including Kelton Pyne (White City), Kolten Bridgeman (Regina), Ellis Mieyette (Lumsden), Derkatch (Regina) and Maddox Schultz (Regina) The Pats open their regular season on Friday, September 19th on the road in Swift Current.
