A 16-year-old has been charged after allegedly threatening another student of a south Regina school earlier this week. Regina police learned of the incident, which was connected to a school on the 1200 block of College Avenue, just after 10 p.m. on Thursday. School Resource Officers (SROs) launched an investigation and identified the suspect who was arrested without incident on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. A secure-the-building protocol that was implemented has since been lifted. The 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named in keeping with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with one count of uttering threats. She is scheduled to make her first appearance in Regina Provincial Youth Court on Oct. 26.
