A technical bug affecting Saskatchewan’s drug prescription plan has been addressed. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health said it was aware of performance issues affecting the Drug Plan Pharmacy Claims computer system on Monday after a weekend system update. The issues affected several pharmacies across the province, including ones in Regina, Swift Current, White Butte and Prince Albert. The ministry said although claims were being processed more slowly than usual, the system remained completely operational. “The issue was addressed overnight, and performance has now returned to expected levels, with the system operating normally, and no further issues identified. Monitoring will continue to ensure ongoing system stability,” read a Tuesday statement.
