The planned Canadian Forces Snowbirds flyover for Regina on Thursday has been cancelled. In a social media post, the team said the flight was cancelled due to ‘unforseen circumstances.’ “We’re sorry to anyone who was planning to watch for us,” the post said. The Snowbirds were scheduled to fly over Wascana Lake, the Legislative Building and Regina International Airport between 11 a.m. and noon. This is the Snowbirds’ final season using Tutor jets. The team will take a break until new turboprop aircraft are built and delivered in early 2030. The Snowbirds will make one final flight during the Grey Cup game in Calgary in November.
