Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon’s Sports Celebrity Dinner, which took a break in 2026, is back with a new name and a list of guest’s sports fans know and love. The rebranded Kinsmen Sports Classic will be held Jan. 27 and 28, 2027, raising funds for local charities and initiatives. “Every ticket, sponsorship and auction bid fund inner-city youth sport, children’s medical care and families in crisis across Saskatoon and the surrounding area,” said the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. The theme is ‘Honouring Buck Martinez: The Ultimate Night of Blue Jays Baseball.’ The longtime voice of the Blue Jays will be joined in Saskatoon by Jays’ legend Josh Donaldson and all-star pitcher Louis Varland, as well as broadcasters Dan Shulman and Jamie Campbell. A VIP night will be held Jan. 27, with the main event Jan. 28 at TCU Place. A baseball minicamp will also be held Jan. 28 for inner-city youth. The Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon held its first Sports Celebrity Dinner in 1959. Past guests include Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Joe Montana and John Elway. Tickets for the 2027 event are on sale now.
