Three people are facing a total of 37 charges following two separate robbery incidents in northern Saskatchewan. On Sunday around 5:45 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report that two people with guns had threatened and assaulted someone, then stole their SUV and personal items at a home in the community of Little Red River. The suspects left the scene in the stolen SUV, and the victim was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries, Saskatchewan RCMP said in an update on Wednesday. On Monday, La Ronge RCMP got a report that three people with guns threatened two people, assaulted them and stole their truck on Highway 2. RCMP said the suspects had been driving a vehicle matching the stolen SUV’s description before they stole the truck and abandoned the SUV. The victims in that incident were taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Other RCMP crews were called in to assist. When they found the suspects and stolen truck in Northside, officers initiated a traffic stop, but the suspects fled from police on Highway 2. Officers then set up a tire deflation device in Little Red River. The stolen truck ran over it and came to a stop shortly after. Two women were arrested in the truck. A man got out of the truck and fled before he was arrested. A 26-year-old man from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is facing 21 weapons and assault related charges, including operation while prohibited, resisting a peace officer, possession of property obtained by crime, operation of a conveyance while impaired and assault with a weapon. A 22-year-old woman from La Ronge is facing nine charges, including possession of property obtained by crime, robbery with an offensive weapon, among others. A 27-year-old woman from Little Red River is facing seven charges assault with a weapon and uttering threats against a person, among others. All three were scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday.
