Peel Region says its new overpass on Mississauga Road is improving traffic between Brampton and Caledon. The region issued a news release on Wednesday, saying the new bridge overpass separates Mississauga Road from the CN Rail tracks and redirects traffic over the tracks. “The new Mississauga road overpass is more than an infrastructure upgrade—it’s a vital connection that improves safety, reduces delays, and supports the future growth of Brampton and Caledon,“ Kealy Dedman, commissioner of public works at Peel Region said. “This milestone demonstrates Peel Region’s commitment to building a transportation network that keeps people and goods moving efficiently, while preparing for tomorrow’s needs.” The region said that traffic on Mississauga Road will remain a single lane in both directions through summer 2026, when construction is scheduled to be completed.
