Vancouver police are urgently asking the public to help find a missing man with advanced Alzheimer’s who was last seen in East Vancouver Wednesday. Charles Johnson, 76, was last seen exiting the Brittania Ice Rink near Commercial Drive and Parker Street at 1:50 p.m., according to the Vancouver Police Department. He is described as a 6’1” tall, 225-pound white man with a “heavy build,” short balding white hair and a short white beard. Johnson was last seen wearing a black fedora hat, blue striped golf shirt, black summer jacket, blue pants, and black slip-on shoes with white soles. “Mr. Johnson is known to walk long distances in a straight line or sit down to wait for assistance,” police wrote in a statement. The department confirmed Johnson had not been found as of Thursday morning. Police asked anyone who sees him to call 911 and wait with him until first responders arrive.
