Essex County OPP say a youth has been charged following an e-scooter crash in LaSalle. On Thursday at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a crash involving an electric scooter, on Highway 3 and Todd Lane. A 16-year-old of Windsor has been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences: Police say it is important for riders to recognize that e-scooters are not permitted on controlled access highways and are subject to Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act and Ontario Regulation 369/09.
