A heavy police presence near Belle River has cleared. On Wednesday at 10:26 a.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle around County Road 42 and Lakeshore Road 113 (Renaud Line) in the Municipality of Lakeshore. The vehicle failed to stop and was located unoccupied on Lakeshore Road 113, where the two male occupants ran into a field between Lakeshore Road 113 and Lakeshore Road 115 south of County Road 42. Two men from Leamington, a 32-year-old and 35-year-old, have been arrested. Police confirmed around 4:30 p.m. that they cleared the area. No further details have been shared.
