Scheduled flyby over Winnipeg postponed due to weather

A scheduled military aircraft flyby in Winnipeg has been pushed back one week.

A Royal Canadian Air Force CC-130H Hercules and two CF-18 Hornet fighter jets were scheduled to conduct a flyby over 17 Wing Winnipeg at approximately 3 p.m.

However, the RCAF said Thursday that “adverse weather conditions” have postponed the flight until May 20.

Winnipeg is currently under a wind warning.

The flyby was to honour the end of the Hercules air-to-air refuelling mission, which stopped in April 2026.
