The New Brunswick RCMP is alerting residents about a police operation in Nasonworth. Members of the Oromocto detachment responded to a report of a disturbance at residence on Route 101 around noon Monday. Route 101 between Philips Road and the 1500 block is currently closed, according to a social media post by the RCMP. “Residents in the 1400 block area are asked to stay inside and shelter in place,” reads the post. Police say the incident “does not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message,” adding one will be issued if needed. This is a developing story.
