Drivers will be paying less to fill up at the pumps in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick after an unscheduled price adjustment overnight. Nova Scotia The cost of regular self-serve gas fell by 10.4 cents per litre in the Halifax area, with the minimum price now at 180.2 cents per litre. Diesel dropped by 9.4 cents per litre; the minimum price now sits at 229.8 cents per litre. The Nova Scotia Energy Board says the adjustment was needed “due to a significant shift in market price.” New Brunswick Regular self-serve fell in New Brunswick by seven cents per litre. The maximum price is now 185.6 cents per litre. Diesel decreased by 6.1 cents with a new maximum price of 238.4 cents per litre. P.E.I. The Prince Edward Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission said there would be an “unscheduled price change” for regular and premium gasoline, along with diesel and furnace oil, at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday. “Global events have resulted in market volatility, which sometimes requires unscheduled pricing adjustments,” the commission said in a news release.
