P.E.I. police are reaching out to the public for information about a “suspicious interaction” with children in the Montague area. Kings District RCMP received a report about a man offering candy to elementary school-aged children. “Police immediately conducted an investigation and have identified the individual involved. At this time, no criminal offence has been identified; however, the matter remains under investigation,” reads a news release from the P.E.I. RCMP. The RCMP is advising parents to discuss personal safety with their children and shared the following tips: Police are asking anyone with information about the incident, or any similar incidents, to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-838-9300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
