A man from Bradford is facing a number of charges after police say he nearly doubled the speed limit on local roads. On Wednesday, around 5:40 p.m., South Simcoe police say officers observed a man travelling at a high rate of speed in the area of Sideroad 10 and Line 12 in Bradford West Gwillimbury. According to police, the man was driving at 153 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. Following a traffic stop, the 43-year-old Bradford man is now facing charges of speeding, stunt driving and failing to surrender an insurance card. The man’s vehicle was impounded for 14 days and his licence was suspended for 30 days.
