On Monday residents of Barrie awoke to rain and wind gusting as fast as 50 km/h. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says conditions are expected to stay the same for most of the day. ECCC says the winds could gust as fast as 70 km/h until 1 p.m. Although the chance of precipitation decreases from 100 per cent to 40 per cent by 9 a.m., the likelihood of showers persists until almost noon. Around noon, chances of precipitation drop to 20 per cent, which is where it remains for the rest of the day. The daytime high is an estimated 13 C and the overnight low is 0 C.
